Description

This package addresses the tricky problem of large appliances being unable to pass through doorways, hallways, or elevators due to building structure constraints, turning “delivery blocked” into “smooth passage.” Covered units include all oversized appliances, especially: wide double‑door refrigerators, premium French‑door models, extra‑large (85‑inch and above) televisions, large upright pianos (analogous non‑appliance but similar handling), wide built‑in dishwashers, commercial‑grade large ice makers, and extra‑wide or tall double‑door wine coolers. The customer pays a deposit for our engineer to visit with a laser distance meter for a “clearance path survey,” developing a feasible modification plan. The final fee is based on the number and type of obstacles that need removal and restoration (e.g., door leaf removal, window removal, stair railing removal, air conditioner platform guard removal).

Our survey engineer carefully measures the appliance’s outer packaging dimensions (or bare unit size) against all critical clearance points – entry doors, interior doors, elevator doors, staircase landings, handrail gaps – calculating the “minimum passable width.” If the appliance is slightly wider than the door opening, we evaluate whether removing the door leaf (including security doors and interior wooden doors) can increase effective passage width. Door removal service includes: unhooking the leaf from hinges, moving it out of the way, and after the appliance is brought in, reinstalling it with hinge and lock adjustments to ensure smooth operation and proper sealing.

If the bottleneck is a window or balcony, we assess the feasibility of “hoisting entry” and take responsibility for temporarily removing the window glass or security grille (only if detachable), then immediately reinstalling after the appliance is brought in, using structural sealant and weather strips to maintain waterproofing and sealing. For narrow stair handrails, we evaluate whether we can temporarily remove some upright posts or crossbars, then restore them with original fasteners and adhesive after passage. Before any modification work, we sign an “Obstacle Removal and Restoration Confirmation Form” with you, clearly stating the scope, restoration standards, and liability division. We approach every dismantling task with engineering rigour, ensuring that while we create a passage for you, we also preserve the structural integrity of your home.
