Description
This package is designed for customers who have backup appliances, seasonal appliances, or units installed in vacation homes or investment properties that are not used frequently. Unlike standard installation and usage services, we focus on how to maintain the internal condition and prolong the lifespan of appliances that are left unpowered and unused for extended periods. Covered appliances include all major categories, especially: refrigerators in holiday villas, seasonal dehumidifiers/humidifiers, backup washing machines, and air conditioners in long‑vacant properties. The customer pays a deposit, and our maintenance consultant develops a detailed written preservation plan based on your appliance models and local climate conditions, then performs an initial “preservation” procedure on‑site. The final fee is based on the number of units and the consumables used (e.g., anti‑rust oil, desiccants).
Our advisory covers three phases: “before preservation,” “during preservation,” and “before reactivation,” with step‑by‑step instructions. For a washing machine that will not be used for a long time, we recommend and assist in draining residual water, cleaning the filter, running a “drum clean” cycle with a specialised cleaner, thoroughly drying the interior, applying a protective coating to the door seal to prevent rubber ageing and sticking, and finally leaving the door slightly ajar. For refrigerators, we advise clearing all food, unplugging the unit, leaving all doors open for at least 48 hours to air dry, placing activated carbon packs inside to absorb odours, and using cloth strips to keep the door seals slightly separated to prevent permanent deformation.
For air conditioners, we recommend running the unit in “fan‑only” mode for 30 minutes before shutdown to dry the evaporator coil, then disconnecting the power and cleaning the filters. In addition to performing the initial preservation on‑site, we deliver a “Preservation and Reactivation Handbook” and send a proactive reminder one week before the estimated reactivation date, outlining key pre‑startup checks and precautions. Through our professional advice, you need not worry about internal rust, mould, or rubber deterioration during long idle periods – your appliances will perform like new when you next use them.
